What makes Glen South Farm different, is the foresight and confidence for the farm’s future and that of the Irish beef industry. We are committed to producing the highest quality beef. The farm has spacious capacity for up to 1,500 quality heifers. Our relaxed cattle spend the colder months under cover in state-of-the-art designed housing and the remainder of the year grazing the lush hillside fields of Glen South Farm. While under cover they have constant access to fresh feed from an "a la carte" nutrition menu. 2014 saw the innovative step into the future, introducing a Lely Vector automatic feeding system and hi-tech handling system, the first of its kind for beef cattle in Europe. Efficient beef production largely depends on feeding the herd consistently, timely and sufficiently. The assistance of the Vector delivers on all of the above. The constant availability of fresh feed increases feed intake, growth rate and ensures a dependable quality and live weight gain.
